Just when everyone thought Slow Motion Soundz was done adding to their repertory for the year, the dawn of a new era is revealed with the release of O’Third Ent’s Family Ties. Obviously SMS didn’t get the memo of champagne filled flutes after being honored as one of Billboard’s top 10 independent labels of 2011. With the latest release it is safe to say they expect the #1 spot next year. It’s certainly not these guys first rodeo for the world fell in love with O’Third’s debut compilation In The Box. Zilla, one of O3’s most prominent artist, gave the world a view of his edgy hood intellect as he dropped Zilla Shit hosted by Traps-N-Trunks in the first quarter. He remains consistent on this follow up. Accompanied by forthcoming producer Bossman whom continues to deliver his trademark mellow sound as Monster compliments them with a combination of flamboyant grit and a street savvy flow. Cunta gives you classic, Cunta by bringing life to the tracks with his ability to create energy and transform a song into a head banger. Also with a strong outting from O’Third Ent artist Mitch and producer Snypa. If there is one thing you can expect to hear from this album, it’s the reluctance of some Huntsville, Alabama artists who refuse to not be mentioned amongst Southern elites. Enjoy SMS Nation!
